At Virginia City Hatmaker, we use either 50% or 100% pure beaver felt for our custom hats. We get our felt from the finest manufacturer of beaver felt in the country, and then we hand build every hat in the most traditional techniques using no machinery at all except for our steamer. Everything else is done with our wooden forms, a pair of scissors, and the skilled hands of Bill or Pascal.
